Nelson Hardiman attorneys successfully defended a High Desert podiatrist with more than 20 years experience against accusations by the Board of Podiatric Medicine that the doctor was grossly and repeatedly negligent in his care and treatment of two unrelated patients and that the doctor kept inadequate and inaccurate records regarding both patients. After a full hearing, including expert and character witness testimony, the Board determined that no disciplinary action against the doctor was warranted and the accusation was completely dismissed.
Commenting on the decision, the firm stated, “while we believed the accusation should never have been filed in the first place, we are pleased that after a hearing the Board of Podiatry agreed that no medical practice act violations occurred.”
