On March 13th, 2014 The Daily Journal reported on the strategic alliance between Nelson Hardiman and Epstein Becker Green, including the underlying dynamics in the healthcare marketplace that led to this relationship: directional pressures on physician practice organization reflected in the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare and other regulatory enforcement trends, and an increased focus on compliance program development. Although Nelson Hardiman is the second largest group of lawyers focused exclusively on healthcare law in Southern California, in the post-ACA environment, we see opportunities and needs for health care companies that require a national footprint. The intention of this unique collaboration is to enable both firms to serve health care companies more effectively, both in California and nationally. In coming months, we look forward to sharing news of our progress in developing resources and expanding our mutual capacity to deliver the support that health care companies need.
