Nelson Hardiman is proud to announce the addition of Attorney Jessica Weizenbluth to our Regulatory/Transactional Practice Group.  Jessica joins us with a deep understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment and significant experience advising clients on complex transactional regulatory issues.

Prior to joining Nelson Hardiman, Jessica was an Associate Attorney at another local health law group. Jessica has built her practice advising hospitals, physician associations, health maintenance organizations, telemedicine providers, management organizations, medical spas and other health-related organizations on complex transactional and regulatory issues. She regularly provides advice on the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute and corresponding state laws, Stark Law and other physician self-referral and payment issues, Medicare, Medicaid (Medi-Cal) and Medical Board of California licensing and provider enrollment, HIPAA, HITECH, and state privacy and security laws and regulations, and the Knox-Keene Health Care Services Plan Act.

“I chose Nelson Hardiman because it was clear to me that the firm is leading the way in both healthcare and cannabis industry client representation,” Jessica said.  “Attorneys at Nelson Hardiman have the strong subject matter expertise necessary to navigate regulatory and consumer demands, placing the firm at the forefront of innovation and strategy. With the rapid and continuous development of digital health products and the legalization of cannabis in both California and Canada, I look forward to advising clients in the health tech space, and utilizing my Canadian roots to advise on Canadian cannabis ventures in California.”

“We are thrilled to have Jessica join our firm, and to add another exceptional attorney to our Regulatory/Transactional Practice Group,” said Co-Managing Partner Harry Nelson. “This addition further solidifies Nelson Hardiman as the largest sole healthcare law firm in Los Angeles, and we are excited to translate our growth into greater access to quality legal services and resources for both our clients and the healthcare community as a whole.”

Jessica is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Osgood Hall Law School, Toronto, Canada.
