Nelson Hardiman, LLP is pleased to announce that Arnold V. Pamplona, a corporate and healthcare regulatory attorney, has joined the firm as a partner. Prior to joining Nelson Hardiman, Pamplona was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP.

Pamplona handles general corporate and healthcare regulatory matters during mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations and dispositions of all types of companies in the health care services industry. He also counsels healthcare providers and affiliated entities in all aspects of civil and administration litigation as well as Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement regulations, state and federal licensing requirements, laws governing healthcare fraud and abuse and general healthcare compliance. He has a strong background in physician-compensation issues in light of the Stark Law and the federal Anti-Kickback Statutes.
An active leader in the broader community, Pamplona serves on the Board of Governors of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association. He was the president of the Philippine American Bar Association of Los Angeles from 2009-2010, and is currently a member of the organization’s Advisory Board. He previously served on the Board of Governors of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles, and was a member of the planning committee for the 22nd Annual National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Convention. As an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), Arnold serves on the organization’s Diversity + Inclusion Council, which seeks to promote diversity in the health care-law bar.
Pamplona earned a B.A. and a B.S. from Loyola Marymount University and his J.D. from Loyola Law School.
