Nelson Hardiman, LLP is pleased to announce that John A. Mills has been elevated to partnership in the firm. A 2002 graduate of the University of Texas Law School, John joined Nelson Hardiman in 2011 from the law firm of Hooper, Lundy & Bookman.
John has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Southern California Super Lawyers multiple times, and was recently appointed to serve as the Secretary of the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Healthcare Law Committee, of which he was part of the founding executive team. “John is a fearsome combination – able to both dive into and grasp difficult healthcare regulatory questions in a flash, but with the field vision and skills to litigate big healthcare disputes. He speaks softly and carries a big stick,” said firm managing partner Harry Nelson.
John’s practice includes reimbursement disputes, ERISA, medical staff and peer review, fraud and abuse, and business litigation. Admitted to practice in California and Texas, John’s clients include healthcare professionals, physician organizations (including ambulatory surgery centers), hospitals, pharmacies (including 340B contract pharmacies), and other healthcare companies. “We are thrilled to welcome him as a partner,” said partner Mark Hardiman. “I’m just glad he’s on our side of the table.”
