Our client, a large detoxification and residential treatment center, received a letter from a major health insurer notifying the center that they would be suspending authorization for treatment services due to various purported member safety and quality of care concerns. Our attorney, Aviva Morady, drafted a rebuttal letter, addressing each of the purported concerns. She then led a team that prepared a “performance improvement plan” for the client to follow. The insurer approved of the plan and agreed to lift the suspension of authorization allowing for the continued treatment of their members.
