Nelson Hardiman partner Lee Arian spoke about Special Investigation Units (SIUs) at an American Addiction Treatment Association Seminar on March 26, 2018. Lee, who previously oversaw enterprise fraud and abuse as an Anthem Vice President, urged providers to work with insurance company SIUs. Ultimately, insurers and providers have the same goal of providing good care in a cost effective manner and should work to create a mutually beneficial relationship.
