Topic: Telehealth in Times of Trouble: Considerations for Behavioral Health Providers
The COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) outbreak has led many behavioral health providers and autism treatment providers to consider synchronous telehealth (i.e. real-time video conferencing) to enable delivery of services in a “socially distanced” manner that is safer for both patients and providers. While telehealth utilization in behavioral health has been growing for years, the transition raises numerous regulatory and operational issues for many providers, including questions of how best to ensure efficacy, safety, and appropriateness in the shift to telehealth, obtaining necessary informed consent and authorization, and essential documentation to ensure reimbursement. This webinar will focus on key issues for providers to consider in shifting to telehealth.
